Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensives for Teens & Adults
What you’ve been through has left you feeling exhausted, emotionally disconnected, and stuck in survival mode.
Maybe you’ve spent years overthinking, battling with perfectionism, staying busy, or being the strong one for everyone else. On the outside, it may look like you have it together, but internally, your nervous system feels overwhelmed, shut down, anxious, or numb. Despite all of your insight and self-awareness, you still find yourself repeating the same emotional patterns and struggling to fully feel at peace within yourself. Your body is screaming out for help, and you’re looking for a way to release the pain you’ve experienced.
Our Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensives in San Diego are designed for people who are ready for deeper healing and lasting change. Therapy Intensives are an accelerated, immersive approach that helps you move beyond intellectualizing your emotions and begin reconnecting with your body, nervous system, and authentic self. Through Brainspotting, EMDR, and somatic therapy, we help you process unresolved trauma, release stored stress, and create meaningful breakthroughs without spending years in weekly therapy.
Rather than attending one therapy session per week, Intensives allow you to dedicate 1–3 days focused entirely on your healing. This concentrated format creates the space for deeper emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and transformative healing in a way that traditional weekly therapy often cannot.
Benefits of Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensives in San Diego
Efficient and Accelerated Progress: Therapy Intensives offer a concentrated and focused approach to healing, allowing you to make significant progress in a shorter period. If you're looking to address specific issues and experience breakthroughs more rapidly, an intensive format provides an efficient alternative to traditional weekly sessions.
Deep Dive into Core Issues: Traditional therapy might touch the surface of your challenges, but intensive sessions allow for a deeper exploration of core issues and allow your nervous system to feel safe again. Oftentimes, trauma and negative core beliefs are the root cause of emotional dysregulation and maladaptive behaviors that show up in our daily lives. Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensives in San Diego allow your body to release stored trauma. With extended time, you can safely unravel complex emotions, delve into trauma, and work towards healing.
Flexibility for Busy Lifestyles: If you have a hectic schedule, committing to weekly therapy sessions might be challenging. Therapy Intensives provide flexibility, allowing you to carve out dedicated blocks of time for healing without the long-term commitment of regular appointments.
Your Own Personal Therapy Retreat
Think of an intensive as a personal therapy retreat created just for you.
Instead of trying to fit everything into a 50-60 minute session each week, you have dedicated time and space to slow down and focus on what you need. You receive undivided attention and care throughout the intensive, allowing us to work at a pace that feels supportive rather than rushed. There is room to pause, take breaks, notice what your body is communicating, process what comes up, and let the work unfold naturally.
Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensives provide an opportunity to step away from the noise and demands of everyday life and create space for yourself, your healing, and your relationship with your body. And just like a retreat, you don't have to arrive with everything figured out; you simply show up just as you are.

We take a holistic, nervous system-centered approach to healing by integrating Brainspotting, EMDR, and somatic therapy to help you process unresolved trauma, reconnect with your body, and create lasting emotional change. These body-based therapy modalities are the leading evidence-based treatments for trauma and PTSD, while somatic therapy specifically helps address the ways stress and trauma become stored within the body and nervous system.
Our personalized Trauma Therapy Intensives can support healing from:
Perfectionism
Burnout & Chronic Stress
Low Self-Esteem & Negative Self-Talk
Creative Blocks & Feeling Stuck
Nervous System Dysregulation
Every intensive is thoughtfully tailored to your unique goals, experiences, and capacity. We create a supportive space where you can slow down, process deeply, and reconnect with yourself in a way that often isn’t possible in traditional weekly therapy.
How Will I Feel After Doing a Body-Based Trauma Therapy Intensive?
You'll leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and your nervous system, along with practical tools you can continue incorporating into everyday life. You’ll also leave with:
A better understanding of your body
You'll learn to recognize the physical signals that often come before overwhelm, anxiety, shutdown, or disconnection.
A new understanding of your stress responses
Instead of seeing fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses as something wrong with you, you'll begin understanding them as protective responses.
More emotional awareness
You'll have more language and awareness around what you're feeling and where you feel it in your body.
Body-based tools that actually feel doable
Rather than collecting a long list of coping skills, we'll identify practices that genuinely work for you.
More self-compassion
You may begin replacing judgment and frustration with curiosity about why you respond the way you do.
A stronger connection with yourself
Your body can become something you listen to rather than something you feel disconnected from or frustrated with.

Research shows that intensives are a safe and effective treatment option for PTSD and complex trauma. Many clients experience significant symptom reduction in a shorter period of time compared to traditional weekly therapy, while achieving similar or even better results.
The intensive format allows clients to stay immersed in the healing process without the interruptions that can occur between weekly sessions. This focused approach may also reduce the likelihood of clients dropping out of treatment before reaching their goals.
Intensives can be an efficient use of both time and resources. With less time spent on weekly check-ins, addressing day-to-day stressors, and reorienting to the therapeutic process, more time can be dedicated to processing and healing the root causes of distress.
-
Absolutely! Therapy Intensives work very well as an adjunct therapy. We would ask that you sign a Release of Information so that we can collaborate/coordinate with your current therapist.
-
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time you book your Therapy Intensive. The remaining 50% is due 72 hours before your intensive session.
